For asylum cases the lawyer is usually free — that's Legal Aid, help from the state. Never pay anyone upfront to "sort your papers" and don't trust people who promise to "fix everything" for money — that's a scam. Vetted ones are collected in the "Lawyer" section.
Yes. GP registration is free for everyone — no passport, visa or proof of address needed. If a surgery refuses to register you, that's unlawful — call NHS England on 0300 311 2233.
Yes. Any NHS sexual health clinic will give you PrEP for free — in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. No GP referral, no passport. Just walk in and ask.
Yes, it's free for everyone, whatever your immigration status — that's a legal exception to NHS charging rules. And it stays confidential: the Home Office can't see your medical records.
Your story is the main evidence: a witness statement about how you realised, what happened at home and why you left. Letters from LGBTQ+ groups, chats, photos and words from friends all help. Nobody can demand intimate photos or a "gayness test". Rainbow Migration (rainbowmigration.org.uk) specialises in cases like this.
Yes. The Equality Act 2010 bans discrimination over sexual orientation and gender identity — at work, in housing, in services. Same-sex marriage is legal. Attacks or harassment over your orientation are a hate crime and are punished more harshly.
